I was looking at a couple of photos of my g/father taken at different times during the war and was struck by the fact that in the

later photo he was wearing a Sam Browne belt. He was the RSM of 30 HAG so must assume that as the top ranked non com he

was entitled to wear the belt. Is this correct ?
