Kings(Liverpool) Regt. according to the CWGC site he died 14/11/1914 and his name is on the Menin Gate Memorial. sotonmate Posted 4 July , 2010 Share Posted 4 July , 2010 c69 1 KLR were part of 6 Brigade of 2 Division,and engaged in the Battle of Nonne Bosschen (in the series known as First Ypres) on 11th November 1914,though minor attacks continued for a few days after this date. He is shown as died of wounds on the 14th,and remembered on the Menin Gate because he has no known grave. 2 Division landed in France on 13 August and were involved at Mons from the outset: http://www.1914-1918.net/2div.htm The Battalion War Diary for the months of his war theatre service is at Kew under WO95/1359.
