Hello

I am trying to find out some further information about

Private Thomas Donohue 8415 1st Bn. Kings(Liverpool) Regt. according to the CWGC site he died 14/11/1914 and his name is on the Menin Gate Memorial.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Soldiers Died cd has him being born,enlisting and residing in Liverpool. He has two medal cards on Ancestry one named THOMAS DONOHUE and the other ODONOGHUE. Ralph.

1 KLR were part of 6 Brigade of 2 Division,and engaged in the Battle of Nonne Bosschen (in the series known as First Ypres) on 11th November 1914,though minor attacks continued for a few days after this date. He is shown as died of wounds on the 14th,and remembered on the Menin Gate because he has no known grave.

2 Division landed in France on 13 August and were involved at Mons from the outset:
