Staffs he states, " 23. 3. 1918 Moved out of Ypres, Belgium to go south. 24..3. 1918 Went into action at Maricourt 25. 3 1918 Retired back two miles 26 3 1918 Retiring fighting rearguards 27. 3 1918 Retired to Bruay, found rations.
