Ernest J Greenway born 1889 in Enstone Oxfordshire. Left for Canada aboard the steam ship Corinthian 8th May 1913. Listed as serving in the forces amongst the men from Minster Lovell Oxfordshire, Witney Gazette 22nd Jan 1916. Reported missing mid 1916. Memorial Service held 8th Oct 1917 in Minster Lovell after receiving reported death in Sep 1917 (presumed dead ?). Listed on Minster Lovell War Memorial and in Minster Lovell Church. Would like to know Regiment and Service No, date of death and Memorial Location and any other info on Private Ernest J Greenway for village project that includes men who lost their lives in WW1 and WW2. CWGC have been unable to trace him and I have been unable to trace any living Greenways who might help to fill in the missing data.
