Jack Sheldon Posted 22 June , 2010 Share Posted 22 June , 2010 The published history of this regiment is very poor. However, it would appear that 3rd Coy was in reserve from 18 June and located in the Ablain Ravine at Verdun. The other three companies of 1st Bn, together with three of 2nd Bn, were manning the forward trenches south and southwest of Thiaumont Farm. If you want chapter and verse, with all the supporting documentation, you will find it in the Kriegsarchiv in Munich. Jack
