Hello all

I wonder what anyone can find out about the above , trying to find all i can , dont have access to SDGW or ancestry , are there any Lincolnshire experts ? please let me have anything you have got

Thanks for the posting of the pictures but these are a completly separate thing !! i would like to find out what i can about the pictures as i think they are the same family ? can anyone tell anything about them ?

Sepataely i am trying to find out what i can about Pte 1368 J R Mcfall 10th batt Lincolnshire i think they were the Grimsby Pals , i think he was KIA 1/7/16 can anyone dig a little deeper ?

Killed in action 1st July 1916 and commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He enlisted in February 1915 or at the very latest the first week in March. In my notes i have him recorded as A Company but i cannot seem to recall where i took this info from.

He enlisted on the 16th February 1915 and his service record survives in the WO 363 series.

'A' Coy was commanded by Lt. Les Cummins again KIA 01/07/1916.

You simply must see the books, the Chapman book has some cracking shots of 'A' Coy.

By the way here is the Medal Roll for 1368 Mcfall.

If you look to the man below, 1370 Bullivent, he was my Grandmother's brother. They could have known eachother or at least passed pleasantries while in the queue to sign up, with 1369 Robert Barrett Cullum, who went on to the 1st and later the 1/5th Lincs. He renumbered and appears elsewhere in the Rolls.

Small world really.
