I have a list of army soldiers I want to research, but cannot get anywhere. I would appreciate some one giving me some additional info on these gents if they're willing to do so. 1. William C. Collins, Pte PW-862 Middlesex Regt 2. 3-7071 P. Murphy, 2nd Bn, Royal Irish Rifles 3. L-10032, pte A.W. Barton, 1st Royal West Kents 4. Pte R. Rae, 16151, Royal Scots Fusiliers 5. W. Nimmo, AB, CLY #/2818 RNVR, Nelson Bn,RND 6. Pte J.S. Brown, 7051, 2nd Royal Scots 7. Sgt A Strutton 9172, 1st Royal Munster Fusiliers (awarded MM I have found mention of his award in the London Gazette, but nothing else. I would greatly appreciate any help you folks could shed on these enigmas. Thank you sincerely in advance. ulsterlad2 Posted 19 June , 2010 Share Posted 19 June , 2010 Patrick Murphy's MIC is for the Royal Irish Rifles but for some reason the N/A states that it's Royal Irish Fusiliers. My unlce's (see sig 5/5347) is the same. Like Patrick's, his mic clearly states 2 / R Ir Rifs but the N/A has Fusiliers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
