I have tried the National Archives, but must be doing something incorrectly. I have a list of army soldiers I want to research, but cannot get anywhere. I would appreciate some one giving me some additional info on these gents if they're willing to do so.

1. William C. Collins, Pte PW-862 Middlesex Regt

2. 3-7071 P. Murphy, 2nd Bn, Royal Irish Rifles

3. L-10032, pte A.W. Barton, 1st Royal West Kents

4. Pte R. Rae, 16151, Royal Scots Fusiliers

5. W. Nimmo, AB, CLY #/2818 RNVR, Nelson Bn,RND

6. Pte J.S. Brown, 7051, 2nd Royal Scots

7. Sgt A Strutton 9172, 1st Royal Munster Fusiliers (awarded MM I have found mention of his award in the London Gazette, but nothing else.

I would greatly appreciate any help you folks could shed on these enigmas. Thank you sincerely in advance. Email address is: tbarton@cox.net

Patrick Murphy's MIC is for the Royal Irish Rifles but for some reason the N/A states that it's Royal Irish Fusiliers.

My unlce's (see sig 5/5347) is the same. Like Patrick's, his mic clearly states 2 / R Ir Rifs but the N/A has Fusiliers.
