Pighills Posted 16 June , 2010 Share Posted 16 June , 2010 From our local (Yorkshire) evening paper - the story of stolen medals and papers etc which have been found in a box under a hedgrow. Police are trying to return them to their owner - do you know who owns them? Story 'HERE' Some of the medals found include a Military Cross, a DSO and an MM:

CarylW Posted 17 June , 2010 Share Posted 17 June , 2010 What a wonderful collection! Obviously treasured and lovingly kept by someone. I wonder if it could be an elderly person who may not realise it's missing, or the owner died and it was found during a house clearance (and maybe hidden under a hedge by an employee realising it's worth) Whatever the scenario, hope it can be re-united with a rightful owner. If no-one claims it would it go to a museum? Suppose they would have to wait for a period of time? Caryl
Canadawwi Posted 17 June , 2010 Share Posted 17 June , 2010 There is another thread on this subject on the GWF. I posted a follow up on Flt. Sub. Lt. Bibby on that thread yesterday evening: Link to other thread.
