Hello

I am trying to find out if Pte George Bartlett 7983 2nd Battn King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry KIA 18/10/1914 is the George Bartlett I'm looking for. Both were born at Bow, London, and resided in Stratford, Essex; I'm hoping it's one and the same man but need better confirmation.

I got the above details from Ancestry SDGW and from the CWGC but I would like to send off for his death certificate (even though I understand that army DCs are sparse on information). Maybe I'm being a bit of a thickie but I cannot find any trace of him in the GRO War Deaths Army Other Ranks 1914-1921 indices - is there any other place I could look?
