5 year old gets the MM?

Any information relating to: 12 Sergt later 2/Lte Albert William Beasley MM 4th Berks KIA Somme 14th August 1916. ALso anyone know who the 4th Berks were before they were a Territorial Regiment. Attached is a photo of his son Peter collecting his Fathers MM from King George V and Queen MAry thought members might like it. I do.

What a nice photo. His mic has his widows address as 23 Regency St Brighton, he went to France 30-3-1915. Ralph.

Thanks for posting the second picture. Note the senior officer in the rear with hanky. A tender moment even for him perhaps. I just wonder how many times these scenes were played out. This is why we never forget. :poppy:

If you go to the Regimental Museum Website at www.thewardrobe.org.uk then click into THE COLLECTION and put his name in you will bring up am image of Lieutenant Beasley. (Object number 27169)
