Norbert Ernest Jones and Albert Jones

I am doing some research into this Jones family for a friend of mine and last week I posted topics about Jack and Lionel Jones and now here is a photo of the other two boys. Norbert Ernest Jones with corporal's stripes and Albert Jones in naval uniform with their father Thomas Charles Jones 1862-1926.

Surprisingly, Ancestry does not reveal an MIC for a Norbert Ernest Jones but there are a number of Ernest N Jones listed. Can anyone help please with a regimental identification from the photo? Any other help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cap badge looks like any of the 3 branches of the RA (RGA, RHA, RFA) or Honourable Artillery Co (Artillery).

No great surprise about the MIC, maybe he simply didn't serve abroad?

I had a quick look at the 'Ernest N Jones' MIC's listed on TNA database, none of them look like very likely candidates; a couple of Pte's in infantry regiments with service numbers dating from around the time this pic was taken, and a Sgt in the RAMC. And the name's not the 'right' way round, pretty common too, so on balance of probability.........

I have gone back to my "Jones" family contact and asked him to confirm the relationship between the 4 boys. I dont want to confuse you all............!

Confirmed now. Lionel, Jack, Norbert and Albert were all brothers.
