Guest Cronton8 Posted 9 June , 2010 Share Posted 9 June , 2010 I am researching Trooper Enoch Pitt - Household Cavalry. He was killed in action in France in 1917. Can anyone tell me if his death would have been registered in the UK? I'm hoping to find his death certificate but don't know where to start. He is buried in Roeux Cemetery, France. Any help or advice would be most appreciated.

Pighills Posted 15 June , 2010 Share Posted 15 June , 2010 1567 Tpr Enoch Pitt Household Battalion died 1917 vol C1 page 29. You can order this from the GRO, price £9.25 (I believe) but it will tell you very little - generally just that they were kia or died, no actual circumstances. Link to the GRO site: 'HERE'
