Hi David,

Cheers for that.

Great to reunite such items but also great to be able to ask about such projects here on the GWF.

Members on the GWF have been so kind and helpful over the years, I have learnt much and in some small way, I hope that I have been able to do justice to the Neale family fighting men and women of that time. Who are now sadly all gone but always remembered :poppy:

The quest goes on.....and my wife still does not understand me! although I think that in the norm!

Regards and Thanks,

Chris.

Chris,

have to agree with you there! Any time a padded envelope arrives - "more medals" she says. "Yes boss.....I mean dearest" he exclaims immediately. I think we are starting to be understood though!

Cheers,

David

Padded....Padded....dont talk to me about Padded....

That is what I have to be each time a medal comes through the door!

I am running out of Jotters....so the hits are starting to show

But I am learning to roll with the punches

Cheers,

Chris.

Apart from the dog, a PO Box number is a medal man's best friend. Means you can buy and have delivered as many medals as you like, all without the friendly smiling postman or the wife finding out. You just tell the missus you'll be having a quick pint after work, meanwhile you're down the PO Box drooling over your latest delivery of medals!

But seriously (actually I was serious!), hope you're managing to reunite some of these broken Neale medal groups Chris. It's always frustrating knowing some ****** else has got the other half of your group in his collection.

Happy hunting

Cheers, Andrew

I do have a PO Box but sometimes get beaten to it due to being a shift worker. Mind you either way I still do the drooling bit and know they have come to a good home which will keep the memory alive.

Cheers,

David
