centurion Posted 19 May , 2010 Share Posted 19 May , 2010 I remember my first visits to France (other than Paris) in the early 1980s and being impressed how so many ancient city and town centres had been restored so that you would never know that they had been piles of rubble once. Arras and Rheims come to mind especially when you compare how the later cathedral had been restored against the load of concrete 60s tat we got at Coventry.
