AlanCurragh Posted 26 May , 2004 Share Posted 26 May , 2004 For those who haven't seen it, this fascinating programme about Boezinghe, near Ypres, is on UK History several times tonight and tomorrow Alan
mebu Posted 28 May , 2004 Share Posted 28 May , 2004 Yes, and a good programme it is too, showing that "amateurs" can be just as good as any professional organisation, with both interest and dignity displayed.
Guest MaryFM Posted 29 May , 2004 Share Posted 29 May , 2004 Hi I watched the programme for the second time, seeing the soldiers uncovered were they fell is so moving. I just wish that they who were building over the land were most probably other soldiers are lying waiting to be found, should have posponed the development till the area could have been investigated thoroughly. But I guess nowadays it comes down to money for the building contractors etc.. I would not work in a building if I knew it had been built over land were the soldiers had been recently found. But then again I am a superstitious. Regards Mary
