davidmichaeljarvis Posted 11 May , 2010 Share Posted 11 May , 2010 I am resrching John Clay b. 1977 at Hloyhead. He enlisted in the RFC as air mechanic 3rd class 101982 in june 1916 and was discharged in Jan 1918. There is a medal roll index card for him indicating that he was awarded the silver war badge. So am I correct in thinking that he was discarged after being wounded or sickness. There is no record of any other medals ie Victory or B war medal so does this mean that he did not serve in a theatre of war or is it that I can't find the record. Any help on this one please. dave
