Came across this memorial stone in Oxbridge Cemetery, Stocton on Tees.

I cannot locate this man in CWGC or SDGW.

Any help would be welcome.

Its not on a headstone, it's from a grave kerbstone. It's with a collection of this type of stone, just put to one side in the cemetery.

The stone reads Sergt Fred Hardwick their beloved son, interred at Arras France, D.L.I. M.M. June 28nd 1917, aged 23.

I cant see any F HARDWICK of the DLI on the Army GRO

I think your going to have to find the parents to find the son on this one

I thought this would have been pretty easy if he had a MM

but got me stumped

Not much luck with the MICs either, there are 2 Pte Wilfred Hardwicks' with the DLI. The date doesn't give any Hardwick's using Geoff's Search Engine....good luck
