MelPack Posted 7 May , 2010 Share Posted 7 May , 2010 Could anyone tell me whether the soldiers of the regular battalions of the Y&Ls in 1914 would have worn buttons with the regimental insignia or would these have been confined to the officers? Thanks Mel
trenchtrotter Posted 7 May , 2010 Share Posted 7 May , 2010 They would have worn regular General Service buttons. The odd senior NCO may have been the exception. TT
Andrew Upton Posted 8 May , 2010 Share Posted 8 May , 2010 Have a look over the following thread, more information than you can possibly shake a stick at on buttons: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/i...t=0&start=

MelPack Posted 8 May , 2010 Author Share Posted 8 May , 2010 Thanks for the replies. I am now on the straight and narrow with this one albeit with a wobble after reading the buttons thread. Mel
