mfmonkey Posted 5 May , 2010 Share Posted 5 May , 2010 I have a soldier Alfred Thomas Green, Labour Corps No. 429496. He was given a SWB LC/6248. Can anyone throw any light as to the reason he was given it please? (I know a SWB was given for invalidity of some sort but wonder if anyone has a look up going for SWB) Also this man was in the Imperial Yeomanry 1902 so I presume he was in the Boer War...any ideas how I can find anything about it? Many thanks Marie
Hywyn Posted 5 May , 2010 Share Posted 5 May , 2010 Marie If you mean why the SWB was given in general terms then this what you need http://www.1914-1918.net/grandad/swb.htm If you mean why it was given to him specifically then the answer would be in his papers. It seems that they have survived (under his 2600 number) Hywyn
