I am trying to confirm his criox de guerre as per the services of military officers 1920 as usual foreign decorations are hard to find.25 plus hits but no french decoration as yet.

1914-19 - Empld Mach.Gun Corps from 14 July 17 including commd. of 40 Bn. 27 Dec 17 to 20 May 18

and 30 Bn. from 21.5.18. France and Belgium Apr 16 to Dec 16 and 1 Jun 17 to 11 Nov 18. Egypt Aug 15 to 18 Mar 16. Despatches Lon Gaz. 4.Jan 17 and 9 July 19 French War Cross. MC.

My copy lives on the shelf in my study - a good investment all those years ago,

The following are among the Decorations and Medals awarded by the Allied Powers at various dates to the British Forces for distinguished services rendered during the course of the campaign : —

His Majesty the King has given unrestricted permission in all cases to wear the Decorations and Medals in question.

Yes it is its a great book although not complete but close.Cost me a fair bit when i bought mine.

Colonel Horace George Victor Roberts MC died on 2 February 1945. I will be visiting his grave in Brookwood on the 75th anniversary of his death.
