I'm researching 2nd Lt WH Collinson KIA 5th Jan 1916. Does anyone have any information on the battalion's movements around that time please? All I know is he is buried in Railway Dugouts cemetary, SE of Ypres. Thanks.

Andrew

According to the war diary W H Collinson is killed by a rifle grenade in a communication trench (see below). It seems the battalion got some revenge by plastering the German trenches with artillery. The war diary also has a map which shows which trench he was killed in near Hill 60 near Ypres. Send me a PM with an email address and I'll pass it on.

I Hope this helps
