CallyJo Posted 26 April , 2010 Share Posted 26 April , 2010 Hi, I would like to share this site that I have just come across. It is at http://www.gilliesarchives.org.uk/ It has a database that you can download concerning military personnel who were injured in the Great War. They have the notes of somewhat over half of those treated for facial injuries between 1916 and 1925 at Aldershot or Sidcup, and some really great advice aswell. Hope you find it useful Cally
KevinBattle Posted 26 April , 2010 Share Posted 26 April , 2010 Great find, CallyJo and thanks for sharing That database is packed full of helpful info! I can see loads of Pals now finding more about their relatives and their wounds. Cheers!

MartinWills Posted 26 April , 2010 Share Posted 26 April , 2010 The site also carries a medical bibliography for the Great War which is second to none in it's content and range.
Peter Zieminski Posted 30 April , 2010 Share Posted 30 April , 2010 An associated site? http://www.projectfacade.com/index.php?
abamji Posted 20 February , 2012 Share Posted 20 February , 2012 Project Facade is a linked site to the Gillies Archives site, which I continue to maintain although the collection itself has been dispersed. See www.gilliesarchives.org.uk for details of where the holdings have gone. The database of patient names, compiled from the extant files, remains on the site, but a more detailed version with images may soon be available at FindMyPast.com.
