brendanwyatt Posted 22 April , 2010 Share Posted 22 April , 2010 I am writing a history of my branch of the Wyatt family with a chapter entitled the Wyatts at war. I have my grandfather's service record and medal card and I know that he first went to France with the Queen's Royal West Surrey regiment in September 1916. Unfortunately, the parts of the pages of his service record that contain the battalion information are either burnt or indecipherable. Does anyone have any information on which battalion(s) of the Queens regiment my grandfather served in. He later served in the 1/4th and 2nd battalions of the Suffolk regiment. Regards, Brendan
Stebie9173 Posted 22 April , 2010 Share Posted 22 April , 2010 His Battalions should be stated in the medal roll books at the National Archives at Kew. Steve.
