Hello Pals,

I'm trying to find out as much info as possible on 326438 Pte James Stanley Garner. It appears that although badly wounded he joined the HG for the second round!

Regards,

Martin

His medal card shows him entitled to the BWM and Victory Medal. SWB List H/1414/1. Nothing else. Ralph.

More detail might be on the SWB List, though finding the correct ledger from the Catalogue listing for these badges is a bit hit-and-miss due to some inaccurate listing:

WO329/3073 shows H 1200 to 1629 but with no suffixes, /1 or /2

WO329/3076 shows H800/1 to 1200/2

WO329/3077 shows H 1201 to 1600/2.

I have the following:

James Stanley Garner, 3763 (enlisted circa May 1915 into 3/1st Cambs) & later 326438 (number allocated April 1917), lived The Crown Inn, Littleport. wounded circa 14-10-18, which was the fight for Auby (named in Official list 22-11-18). Discharged 15-5-19.
