A blow up of the paper gives "------ Dispatch"

and the headline reads along the lines of

"Allies ---- ----- to help the serbians"

Any thoughts?

thanks

Hello Mike

If it's an English national newspaper, there are two possibilities: the Daily Dispatch (which merged with the News Chronicle before the 1950s, and the Sunday Dispatch, which was still published in the 1950s but closed shortly afterwards (as, indeed, did the News Chronicle).

"Help the Serbians" suggests a date of 1916 or later, when the ASC sent a number of MT Companies to take supplies to the Serbian Army.

"Where" is almost certainly one of the training camps in the UK.

Can't offer any more specific suggestions, I'm afraid.

Ron
