centurion Posted 13 April , 2010 Share Posted 13 April , 2010 Need to take some of the military captions with a pinch of white stuff, Ref: 10424689 for example does not show soldiers loading a field gun but Soldiers (Australian) loading a 9.45 inch trench mortar - a well known and oft reproduced photo, its posed. Ref: 10424697 "Two tank designs undergoing military testing" actually shows three tanks of the same design in training exercises (they are French St Chamonds), Ref: 10424681 "Testing a new tracked vehicle" shows the not new Killen Strait tractor being demonstratd at Pentonville, Ref: 10424682 "Disabled German tank on battlefield" shows a very un disabled German A7V and so on. Most if not all reproduced many times elsewhere. How they have the cheek to watermark these photos I don't know.
