Wdragon Posted 11 April , 2010 Share Posted 11 April , 2010 Hi, I am trying to find any information on Gunner Rees W. Morgan, # 88191 R.F.A. I have his entry on the medal roll, it shows him going to France on 4 September 1915. Family legend has it that he was at Galilipoli, based on this it seems doutful. How can I locate what his unit was within the RFA? Thank you. Regards David
andiS Posted 11 April , 2010 Share Posted 11 April , 2010 Hi David 228159 Morgan's pension records are on Ancestry - he caught Malaria in 1917 which might suggest he had been to places foreign. There are people here who can take a very educated guess on which battery people served based on service numbers which might also help

I will be going to Kew to look for him next week. Hopefully he is one of the 'unburned' papers that have survived. Regards David
