If there are any 1/5th Northumberland Fusiliers Bn experts out there who have come across Lt HT Richardson please can you get in touch.

He was supposedly an old boy of my old school in Croydon but died on 23/8/1915 and is buried at Gosforth (St Nicholas) Churchyard Cemetery.

Many thanks.

This is SDGW:-

Death Date: 23 Aug 1915

Rank: Lieutenant

Regiment: Northumberland Fusiliers

Battalion: 5th Battalion (Territorial)

Type of Casualty: Died of wounds

which basically accords with his MIC.

Hi Neil,

I have just come across your enquiry for information on Lt.H.T.Richardson, 5/North'd.Fus. I have an obituary and photo of him, would you like a copy?

The obituary does not mention where he was educated but does confirm all the other details you mention.

Best wishes, Robert
