Paul Dorrell Posted 9 April , 2010 Share Posted 9 April , 2010 In the Royal Artillery Institute's "History of the Royal Regiment of Artillery - The Western Front 1914 - 18", the author, Gen. Sir Martin Frandale, KCB, makes only one reference to 49 HAG throughout the entire book. Between January and March 1917 he lists them as being on the strength of XVII Corps just before the Battle of Arras. Can anyone tell me where they were and what they were doing between July and September 1917 please? I appreciate that there are probably war diaries available, but I'm just hoping that someone may have the information to hand. Can anyone help please?
