The army list has WRH Dann commanding a Service Battalion of the Cheshires 20/12/15-20/4/16. Does anyone know which one?

Think this is your man - three MICs:-

Name: W R H Dann

Regiment or Corps: Bedfordshire Regiment (Ad Gn list), 5th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment

MID as a Captain, gazetted 22.6.15 page [5]998

Name: W R H Dann

Regiment or Corps: Bedfordshire Regt

MID as a Major (Temp Lt-Col) with a DSO, gazetted 11.12.17 page 13232

Name: W R H Dann

Regiment or Corps: Bedfordshire Regiment, Commands & Staff

MID as Maj & [bt] Lt-Col T/Brig-Gen, gazetted 20.12.18 page 14925

Perhaps one of the Gazette entries will throw some light on it for you?

Well, although I'd looked at all the Gazette entries, on a second look the clue was there - it was the 13th Btn.

Thanks for prodding me Verrico.

I have a couple of snippets on Dann including a short article in the Royston Crowe from the time of his 1916 wounding below.
