Does any member have the war diary for the above regiment for the date 25.9.1915 and could check the entries to see if the following man is named as being KIA, he was CSM 5775 Richard Edmondson of the 5th Battalion.

Thanks

John

John

SDGW shows he was KIA on the 25.9.1915 (first day of the Battle of Loos).

The War Diary reference is WO95/1767 for the 5th Battalion.

Thanks for the copies of the wherabouts and fighting involving the 5th Battalion on the 25th September, and the heavy losses to the Scottish Regiments involved.
