The counter battery offices were photographed in May 1919 by Sir Horace Byatt when he visited The Somme battlefield. Byatt was the Administrator of the Tanganyika Territory (the British portion of the former German East Africa). Note the village name is still intact. SANDF reference number is 811000422.
