corisande Posted 5 April , 2010 Share Posted 5 April , 2010 Robert Scanlon or Scanlan 7576 Private in 2 Royal Irish Rifles met a rough end, as did other members of the Irish Brigade in post war Germany Here I am looking at My information on Scanlan (you can also spell it as Scanlon) His shooting is reported my another Irish Brigade member, but he never got round to telling the British Army exactly when in mid 1919, and he is reported as being "shot during the (German) revolution " There appears to be no CWGC grave for him although thee was one for another Irish Brigade member being killed under similar circumstances (see my thread he on him for details) Anyone perhaps with information on the 2nd Royal Irish Rifles records help here (I have the book, and there is but a brief mention on him joining IB, but nothing else) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
