john crowner Posted 5 April , 2010 Share Posted 5 April , 2010 I know this is a lot less likely than winning the lottery, but I would at least like to try to find his medals_nothing special, just the Victory and War medals. As far as I know , no one in the family has got them, and I just wondered whether any collector some where has got them. His name was Joseph Crowhurst, s/n 124448, RFA . River97 Posted 5 April , 2010 Share Posted 5 April , 2010 John, Joseph was only entitled to the pair with the rank of Gunner. Now for the cracker - Do you have an Ancestry account? If not I would STRONGLY suggest you get one of those 14 day free trials. Gunner Joseph Crowhurst, service number 124448, enlisted on 11 December 1915. You see John, 23 pages of his service are fit and well on Ancestry. Small consolation for the medals, but maybe an unexpected gain. Cheers Andy.
