jhill Posted 21 May , 2004 Share Posted 21 May , 2004 There have been quite a few interesting discussions about the unpleasantness at this place in March, 1919. While I do not propose to add to the discussion, I point out for those really interested, that the Canadian War Diaries Web Site (which we have often talked about on this forum) contains War Diaries of the units comprising the camp at this time. There were 13 Wings, numbered 1 through 13; one for each Military District in Canada. We can access them under "Canadian Concentration Camp, Rhyl". Unfortunately, the records seem to have been mis-indexed, so most of the 1919 entries are listed under December 1918, or somesuch. Below is an example (to show that I am not stringing you along!). marc leroux Posted 21 May , 2004 Share Posted 21 May , 2004 Thanks for the tip on the indexing. I had found the diary entries some time back, but couldn't find the ones for each area. Now I know why. marc
Andrew Hesketh Posted 21 May , 2004 Share Posted 21 May , 2004 James, As someone who lives within a grenade throw of the camp, these documents will be fascinating. Thanks for the alert.
