Does anyone have a copy of the War Diary for the 26th Dec 1914 for this unit. I am interested in any casualties/wounded that are mentioned on this date or the circumstances.

Jamie, none are recorded.

Here's a quick summary

26/12/14

Morning. Enemy fired few shots. Some of our sentries were above the parapet and the germans appeared to have no intention of opening fire on us.

4:45pm. Bn relief by Lincs R

11:45pm. Telephone message. German desserter to 13th Londons reports that a German attack is predicted for 12:15am. Bn orderd to take up positons at La Flimque crossroads. Our guns fired but not much happened.

Five dead for the whole of Dec 1914: 1 on the 9th,2 on the 14th,1 on the 16th,and 1 on the 30th (this man C BYRNE 9673 not on CWGC by the way, but on SDGW).
