MIC only as far as I can see.

Entered France on 27 Aug 1914, entitled to the 1914 Star trio with clasp.

Held the rank of Private.

And that's about it.

The following from SDGW:

Francis Kealy

Birth Place: Dublin

Residence: Dublin

Death Date: 13 Jul 1916

Rank: Private

Regiment: Northumberland Fusiliers

Battalion: 12th Battalion.

Number: 9806

Type of Casualty: Killed in action

Theatre of War: France and Flanders.

And effectively the same from Ireland casualties of WW1.

Cheers Andy.

Davy

Hi ! This soldier would likely have been in at the start of the Battles of the Somme,at the Battle of Albert on the 1 July 1916. This went on to the day of his death, the 13th July,as our forces slowly pushed the Germans back towards Bazentin Ridge, the battle for which started the next day,14 July 1916. His Battalion, 12 Northumberland Fusiliers, part of 62 Brigade of 21 Division, were under XV Corps, part of the Army due to attack at Bazentin Ridge on the 14th. So on that day he was likely to have died east of La Boiselle in the vicinity of the Albert/Bapaume Road (today D929).

He has no known grave so is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial.

9806 Pte Francis Kealy was probably a regular soldier who enlisted around October 1903 and originally served with the 1st Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers. He was recorded as being wounded in November 1914, before being posted to the 11th Bn, N.F. and then 12th Bn, N.F. with whom he died.

The only address I have is taken from the CWGC and he's the son of James Kealy, 1 Boyne Street Dublin. He has no known grave and so is on Thiepval Memorial, as mentioned by Verrico 2009

I might have a shot of that panel of the Thiepval Memorial, as I took some last month. I'll check when I get home.

I have the Memorial and some of the Northumberland Fusiliers panels, but not as far over as Kealy. My man is L/Cpl. J.Humphries.
