East Yorkshire Regiment question

I'm researching Sgt Herbert Ferrand KIA 25/4/15. The CWG website (and De Ruvigny's) says 1/4th Bn East Yorkshire but the MIC says "TF6" which I take to be 6th Bn Territorial Force; am I right or does it signify something else?

Andrew,

As a side note, are you aware that 20 pages of his service records are alive and well on Ancestry?

Makes interesting reading - they state KIA 27 April 1915. Also served in South Africa 1900-01.

Cheers Andy.

Thanks for that info brethren. I'm registered on Ancestry but hadn't found all the service info, but knew he'd been in the Boer War. That picture is great, where did you find it?

His house was just off Pearson Park in Hull, it's still there.
