Nick Thornicroft Posted 1 April , 2010 Share Posted 1 April , 2010 I have a casualty (Gunner Alfred Gardiner) listed as k.i.a. on 14/7/17 in the SDGW, whereas in the CWGC his date of death is given as 14/6/17. Having already consulted the War Diary for July & discovered there is no mention of a fatality on the 14th, it would seem he died a month earlier, but I did not realise the dates were different until recently.
