sotonmate Posted 29 March , 2010 Share Posted 29 March , 2010 Peter There is a Book of MSM Citations 1916-1928 (Naval and Military Press) ISBN9781843420187. There is certainly one in the Library at Kew Archives. Do you have any date information ? Sotonmate
Terry_Reeves Posted 29 March , 2010 Share Posted 29 March , 2010 I think you will find that all its gives is the number, rank, name and regiment or corps and the gazette date. There were a couple of hundred awarded for gallantry, but I don't think the citations are in that publication. Non-gallantry awards have no citation. Once you have the date, check the war diary on the off-chance, and his local newspaper if you know where he comes from. TR

sotonmate Posted 31 March , 2010 Share Posted 31 March , 2010 Peter Terry is right ! It's my first time in looking in that book, though I had made a note of it's presence whilst looking at the DCM books a few months ago. The entry merely says his name, rank, and unit and the number of the LG ref, 6954. Sotonmate
