I know, I know :innocent: its in the wrong section, but not getting any response in the Paraphernalia section, anyone shed any light on badge numbers B201682 and B307678 as I am never likely to get to Kew to find out myself. Any offers ? Regards Ralph.

Ralph,

If you only have the badge, it will be extremely hard to put a name to it.

The National Archives at Kew have the SWB rolls, but, you will need to find the SWB index card for your man first. This is where the mission falls on it's face as you then have to choose between 880,500 cards.

I have found it frustrating as well, as I have a couple of them as well. Living in Australia, the chances of getting to Kew are pretty slim, let alone finding a name to go with the number.

Cheers Andy.

Andy. Thanks for that, Australia :excl: and I thought I had a problem. Ralph.

Yes collecting mainly British officer groups is rather a handicap when it comes to getting records from Kew ,perhaps another full digital copy in Australia ..can but wish ,if we can put man on moon we can copy a full set of records digitally and make things easier ..ok i am waking up from my dream now  :
