Does anyone have a war diary (or can tell me roughly where they served) for 339 & 336 RCC RE from mid 1917 onwards?

I know their War diaries don't exist at TNA, but I wonder if there are any at Chatham that anyone has accessed in the past and could help me out here.

Thanks,

dave.

I just found this, hoping that it might deal with RCCs,but didn't find anything in a quick scan. I am impressed with it's content, such a lot in a small space !

Thanks Sotonmate

been there already (several times for a variety of reasons!) and , unfortunately, though it is of great general use (and interest), there's nothing there that's specific enough for my needs in this case.

Cheers anyway,

Dave.

Sorry, I've been through various records and can find no info on these. All Road Companies get is a small paragraph in Work of RE which says they were formed only for France and seem to be county organisations.

Not much I'm afraid, Peter
