johnreed Posted 21 March , 2010 Author Share Posted 21 March , 2010 There are only two mentions of 38th Division These are :- 11th August 1916:-O.C.38th Division Transport called and enquired if rubble can be supplied for shell holes in the horse lines. 12th August 1916:- C.R.E. 38th Division called and asked for bricks and rubble informed him that very little is available, discussed the whole question of allocating bricks. Absent from his billet. 4 December 1915 9662 Pte Eaerett W When on active service, Drunk inthe Town of Poperinghe at 11 pm. June 16th 1916 Arranged billets for 3rd Canadian Brigade June 23rd 1916 O i/c Pigeons Canadian Corps called re: his men’s extra billets. June 23rd 1916 O.C. Railway Construction Canadian Corps called re: Temporary billets for men working near POPERINGHE. June 28th 1916 Went over billets with owners and Officer of 1st Canadian Pioneer Battalion in case of claim for damages June 30th 1916 Attended a meeting of Canadian Y.M.C.A. re: Sports and other matters. July 9th 1916 G.S.O.2 26th Div A.Q.M.G. Canadian Corps re billetin in POPERINGHE.
