10th Battalion The Buffs

Hi All,

I'm trying to complete the story of an officer who was wounded on 18th Sept 1918 at Epehy whilst serving with the 10th Buffs. He was an officer of the Royal Wilts Yeo, but had been attached to the 10th Buffs since 1917.

Lt F H Leek was badly wounded on the date above and I'd like to obtain the war diary extract for this day (and the days leading up to it) to see if he is mentioned. Any help gratefully received.

I cant help you with War Diary (I only have WKY in Gallipoli) but I just looked through Bn History by Ponsonby and could not see any mention of Leek during the 18 Sept attack.

I hope this helps although not the news you wanted.
