dundeesown Posted 16 March , 2010 Share Posted 16 March , 2010 Looking for help for a lad in my work with this pic.it is 13/1227 L/Cpl John H.Pearcy East Yorkshire Regiment,K.I.A.30 October 1918.Looking at his uniform I thought it was ASC at first or Artillery but looking at the badge in picture it is E/Yorkshire.Did every Regiment have their own horsemen.? Any East Yorkshire Regiment experts help with any info on this lad.? We know he was born in Hollym Yorkshire and lived in Hull,any information on him would be welcome, P.S.anyone have pictures of Duhallow A.D.S. joseph Posted 17 March , 2010 Share Posted 17 March , 2010 Hi, - Born Hollym Yorkshire - Attested 12 January 1915 at Hull - Medal Index Card entered Egypt 29 December 1915 – posted 11th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment 2 September 1918 – Died Bronco Pneumonia - Documents Available – Paull East Yorkshire Roll of Honour - Lived Rose Cottage Paull East Yorkshire - Died Wednesday 30 October 1918 All Battalions had a Transport Section and dressed as horsemen, looks like he is wearing the Badge of a Cold Shoer above his stripe.
