The MIC may also suggest that he won it with the Worcesters ! The MM entry has against it the cross and dots to link it to his time with the Worcesters.

As there are no Citations surviving from the 1940 bombing of Army records you may have an uphill task to find this one. It might be worth looking in the London Gazette to at least try and get a year if not a date, and then maybe a look in the 2 Worcs War Diary(ies) just in case there is a citation:

WO95/1351 from his arrival Aug 1914 to Dec 1915 with 2 Division,and,

WO95/2430 from Jan 1916 to May 1919 with 33 Division.

Can't help at the moment with any links to the ACyclistsC as there isn't much to go on other than the service number which, maybe, someone here can help with.

London Gazette shows he was with Army Cyclist Corps and award of the MM was promulgated in LG#31512, 20th August 1919. Link is here....http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/315...pplements/10578

918 Pte. Eglinton, W., IV. Cps. Cyc. Bn. (Newport, Mon.)

War Diary for IV Corps Cyclist Battalion is held at NA, Kew under reference; WO 95/737 Corps Cyclist Battalion 1916 May - 1919 Nov. It doesn't appear to be one of those available to download though so a visit to Kew will be necessary to view it.
