Hello, I am searching for my great uncle Allan Campbell (Australian born); served and died with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, 4th reinforcements, 1st battalion, E company. embarked NZ on 4th March 1916, and died at Ypres 12 October 1917. Serial No. 23/1947 (from Cenotaph database), I presuming at Passchendale

Can any one give me information on the movements of the 1st Battalion after 4th March 1916, and where I can get more information on his file

Allan,

"The New Zealand Division 1916-19" by Col. H. Stewart is a very detailed yet readable account of the New Zealanders in France. It has been republished in paperback.

Check out your Blog, I have posted a few links for you relating to Rifleman Allan Campbell B)

Also regarding the comment above, it's not worth waiting for the files to be digitalised, you'll be waiting forever. Archways only digitise the files and have them available on-line after you have paid for a file copy.
