ColinSm Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 I know what I am asking is very basic, but I will ask anyway. I am trying to get hold of the War Diary for the 11th Battn. Royal Warwickshire Regiment for 1916. I am after details of the death of Private Frederick Parker No. 12460 who was killed on the 13th of August, 1916. I have tried looking at the National Archives to locate the diaries but to no avail. I find The National Archives somewhat 'user unfriendly' in that respect. Can anyone help me please, either with a copy of the diary, or by telling me exactly where I look at TNA please. I have no idea where Frederick was killed, but his medal card states that he was in the Balkans (presumably Gallipolli), and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission gives him as being remembered on the Thiepval memorial.
