Muerrisch Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 is that a T above his RE shoulder title?
PhilB Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 I`m not sure the badge is RE and the shoulder title looks long for RE? Possibly an Overseas Unit badge?
stoj22 Posted 15 March , 2010 Author Share Posted 15 March , 2010 Can't really tell, it's either T or ┼
Andy Wade Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 Royal Engineers looks close, but there's something not quite right about the center of the badge. Any chance of a higher resolution close up on it?
tony paley Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 The Dorset Yeomanry has a very similar badge with scrolls round the wreath Tony P
stoj22 Posted 15 March , 2010 Author Share Posted 15 March , 2010 I can't get any decent scans Andy but I superimposed the two badges onto the orignal and they pretty well fit perfect!! Thanks for the input everybody, I'm gonna have to find a picture of the Dorset Yeomanry badge now just to put my mind at rest!! thanks again, Steve. Rob B Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 Hi Steve, just noticed 2 minutes not bad! I must admit the only bit I wasn't 100% on was the center where the normal RE badge would have the Royal Cypher in this case GRV. PhilB Posted 15 March , 2010 Share Posted 15 March , 2010 What about the shoulder title, gents - too long for RE? And the T could be a Y.
stoj22 Posted 15 March , 2010 Author Share Posted 15 March , 2010 Just been trawling the net and wondered could the shoulder title be something like this?
