HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 14 March , 2010 Share Posted 14 March , 2010 Obvious choice would be RE,but could be London Rifle Brigade {5th London Rgt} Do You have an ID of the Soldier??If So the MiCs may confirm Regt.

ulsterlad2 Posted 14 March , 2010 Share Posted 14 March , 2010 Hi. There is a mic for a Charles G Platt here; http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...p;resultcount=1 RAMC then ASC. Does the cap badge look like any of those?
Nigel Marshall Posted 14 March , 2010 Share Posted 14 March , 2010 The badge in the photo is neither RAMC or ASC/RASC. It is very possible that as he was a young soldier he never served overseas and thus would not have a MIC. I think the Ancestry papers should be the first port of call. Cheers, Nigel
