hi

this is my great uncle charlie platt can anyone tell me which regiment he was in please .the story goes that he was under age when he enlisted and when he told and got sent back most of the family never spoke to him again

Obvious choice would be RE,but could be London Rifle Brigade {5th London Rgt} Do You have an ID of the Soldier??If So the MiCs may confirm Regt.

i believe he was living in staffordshire at the time his full name was charles geoffrey platt born 1900 thats all i know

The badge in the photo is neither RAMC or ASC/RASC.

It is very possible that as he was a young soldier he never served overseas and thus would not have a MIC.

I think the Ancestry papers should be the first port of call.
